Rock On!

My baby's got blue eyes (hey, that's a song!) (Take a note of the new haircut!) Anyways, have you guys seen the new Guitar Hero III, Legends of Rock for the Wii? SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... COOL and addictive. George (from church) came over last night and he and Luke played George's Wii guitar for a few hours. Then they let me play once Jackson and I got home from Grandma's house and bathing gracie (mom has now switched to organic toothpaste for gracie and she is liking it much better than the dog flavored toothpaste - thought you'd want to know!) Well, they let me play and I'VE GOT TO GET ONE OF THESE. Luke says I have to wait until after we pay our taxes. I'm in speed mode trying to get our taxes done now. Nothing like motivation. I played that Santana song Black Magic Woman or something like that. I've been telling luke for a while now that I wanted to start playing the Baritone again. (by the way, he thinks I am really bizarre!) but maybe guitar lessons are more my thing. We were joking around last saturday night at Ress' birthday party and we decided to make a Family BAnd. Nancy on clarinet, lexi on piano, luke plays the french horn, dad on trombone, matt on guitar and I'd play the lovely baritone. You know, I did sit first chair Baritone. Now, granted there were only 2 of us and occasionally 3 but first chair it was ( I was also voted most talented my senior year - you can stop laughing now!). Now, I'm sure that this is really interesting news for you and you'd like me to just go on and on about my musical talents but I'm going to spare you the details. Also, did you know that when a new chick-fil-a opens they give the 1st 100 customers free chick-fil-a for a year (aka - 52 number 1 combo coupons). Murray told me this yesterday morning at church (he's going to be our new chick-fil-a's general manager). I got so excited. He told me that I'd need to have pitched a tent by around 1 or 2 in the afternoon the day before they open. I told luke that we were doing it (again he thinks I'm crazy) and then I realized that it would be a Wednesday night and I'd have to miss church so...... maybe next time Murray!) Hopefully, when Murray gets his own store I can convince him to open on a Friday or Tuesday or something like that and I can camp out in front of his new store. Luke said he'd just rather buy his chick-fil-a sandwiches. I've got one word - Party Pooper! (but he'd really do it if I wanted to and that is why I love him) Happy Monday Morning.

Well, It's the end of March and I'm showing this scrapbook page from Christmas of Last year but hey, does this blog need to be exactly in chronological order? I say not! This is of us making gingerbread houses with Tina and Maura two Christmas' ago! Tina pulled into the church parking lot today and said the neighbors think that we've sold the church building. That cracked me up, because luke said yesterday that when we got the signs down people would think we've moved. Actually, the signs just need a little updating and we only had them down for like 12 hours I think. Change one thing and it's a world gone mad. Happy Friday!

What a Week!

Sorry I haven't gotten around to blogging this week - IT'S BEEN NUTS! I'm not even going to go into all of it but we've been busy. I haven't even uploaded my Easter Egg Hunt pictures with Pauley and Nathan at Aunt Nancy's House (Jackson wants to move in with Aunt Nancy - she's his gum dealer) or the rest of camping. But, I will. This shot was taken at the Zoo last week. And speaking of the zoo, Jackson says really long prayers and prays for everyone under the sun and they all end this way.......

In Jesus Christ we pray, Thank you for the Zoo, Amen.

This is his standard closing for a prayer. Dad commented Sunday that everyone in Georgia gets prayed for multiple times in a prayer. He mentions the same names several times in a prayer, just in random order. Very sweet. Speaking of family, he cried this morning because I couldn't take him to Georgia to see Grandma Jo Jo and get his Ghostbuster toys (actually Luke's old Ghostbuster toys). He is really missing his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We will have to get them over here for a Ragball game - Hint Hint! (Opening day is April 4th - with FIREWORKS and his first game is April 5th). If the rest of you are in the area, come on over and watch us play. Harrison and Alex (from church) are on Jack's team. They are hilarious to watch. Jack has decided that everytime he catches the ball he needs to catch it and then roll on the ground. Harrison was so funny Tuesday night. He decided that he'd stop catching on 1st and just run the bases during the middle of the game. Like I said, It's pretty funny. Oh, and our adventure of the week was when Luke decided on Monday night that he could cut Jackson's hair. Whew! We'll lets just say the next day I had Jackson up at Sport Clips and Luke was promising that he wouldn't cut his hair anymore. Ellen felt so sorry for me that Tuesday she was bringing me coupons for children's hair cuts. She's quite the friend. And it made me think about what life would be like without girlfriends and fellow Christians who laugh with you and cry with you, and tell you your son's hair really doesn't look that bad. I just really don't ever want to find out what life would be like without friends and family. I think that is one of the main reasons Heaven will be so wonderful is that you will be those that love the Lord and those that love you as well. No more problems, disappointments, failure, etc..... What a wonderful thought. We'll I'll try to upload some more pics today or tommorrow. Hope you all are well.

I have to share this picture because it just made me laugh. Here's the story: this is georgia's husband jack (or uncle jack to jackson) and luke found him this bread machine at the thrift store like he finds all of the other things that he treasures most (aka his massive collections of various stuff). Well, this is Uncle Jack's FIRST ever loaf of bread! Isn't it a beauty. Price for a thrift store breadmachine: cheap. price for the smile on jack's face and one good loaf of bread: priceless.
And these are their before and after pics of their driveway. They helped us put a little sod down in december and I told them I'd help them sometime in their yard and flowerbeds. Well, I'm so happy for them and now the landscaping begins! Congrats you guys, It looks GREAT!

hey, forgot to tell everyone that my sister got a promotion at work. she is now a medical technology specialist. which means that not only can she look through a microscope and see very small things but she can also do brain surgery now. we are all very, very proud. so, next time you see her, give her a big ole' pat on the back. and lexi, who taught you everything you know?

Ragball 101

Basics of Ragball (Number 1): Get the proper "serious" look and stance. (Love your mama even though she takes a million pictures of you)

#4 Watch your coaches for proper ragball instruction and pray they don't hurt themselves
#5 See if you can just leap over the bases instead of actually touching them
#6 Invite all your sisters and cousins to watch you play

#7 Convince all your male friends from church to join
#8 Deck yourself out in your favorite Football Team colors while playing ragball
#9 Run to your dad whose on first base
#10 Get the proper send off from dad
#11 Wear your number proudly

#12 Be just as confused as your coach is but try to look like you know what you are doing
#13 Label your hat just in case you are hit in the head with a ball and forget who you are
#14 Try to hold the fence up so all first basemen don't get hit by the fence
#15 Try not to hit your coach in the head while swinging even though he insists on standing that close
#16 Have a mom on the field (actually standing on 3rd base) documenting your every move
