A Bunch of Adults acting like KIDS!!!

Well, o.k one of them is actually a kid, but shooting off rockets will bring out the kid in anyone. Especially my husband. Things went pretty well until Jack (big Jack - not in size but older) decided to shoot one about one foot over Jo's head. That really made things exciting and gave the dogs something to start barking over. Oh, the fun we have with cardboard toys and a small engine. The crazy thing is that these rockets are over 20 years old and STILL work. I'm not going to press my luck and hope that a rocket (or any toy for that matter) that I buy for Jackson will last 20 years or more. But who knows. Barney and Elmo will still probably work and I'm sure I'll be listening to them when my grandchildren are playing with them, Lord willing. Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful! --"I love you and you love me ----Do, Do, Do, Do, Elmo's World"
don't we just love telephoto lenses!
whoo, it's a bird, it's a plane........
how do you like my hat?
chubbs looking for a big one!

o.k. you boys stop trying to kill me!!

Talleluah Gorge, Memorial Day Weekend

(above picture - view from the draw bridge near the bottom of the gorge!)

Well, let's say your taking a restful vacation at your in-laws house in Georgia for Memorial Day and what would you suppose would be a good restful and relaxing thing to do? Let's see - swim in the pool, do a little shopping, read a good book or HIKE A GORGE? Yep, you got it. Talleluah Gorge. We are constantly hiking something that is pretty much 90 degrees up or 90 degrees straight down. I will have to admit that I completely enjoy myself and have so much fun watching Jackson outshow us all with his natural hiking capabilities. (O.K., well some of us) He is about 1,000 percent Luke when it comes to sports, outdoor stuff, etc..

This bunch is scared out of their minds!!!

No problem, only 500 stairs down and 600 stairs up. Let's do it twice!!

My son is as "Quick as Greased Lightning"!!

I just wanted to share a few of the photographs that I've taken of Jackson in the past week. He is a great subject to photograph when you can catch him! As I've told Luke many times, "If I can photograph Jack, then I can photograph anyone." He keeps me on my toes. I'll share a few of the collages that I've done when I get through with them. Enjoy!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I just wanted to send out a Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, nana's, adoptive mothers, aunts, friends and loved ones on this special day. I've included a few pictures that I could find of some of my family members that are mothers and some that are not but might as well be because they have always been such wonderful aunts to me (and actually our whole family). Now, as a note, I am only including some of their pictures because not everyone would be appreciative of having their picture posted on my blog (actually, a few would be down right irrate and won't ever let me take a picture of them) and a few other's I don't currently have a digital picture on my computer. So with all of that said I wish you lots of love and hope you have a wonderful day tommorrow.

Pictured are as follows:
1. My grandmother and mother
2. Luke's mom (Jackson's mama Jo Jo and the twins Grandmommie)
3. Luke's grandmother, Nana (with Granddad and twins)
4. Aunt Jan (mom to Jake and Josh)
5. Aunt Nancy (who let Nancy play with fire anyways)
6. Aunt Sheran (grandmother to the sweetest 3 girls on the planet)
7. Lori with her precious baby girl Libbi
8. My aunt Arleen (Eenie to me and Neenie to Jackson)
9. Luke's sister Ashley, mother to precious Josephine and Mikayla
10. Aunt Becky, mother to the sweetest boys,-Pauley and Nathan

I've got the pick-ups

Mom, Mom, MOM!!!! I've got the pick-ups. The what? The pick-ups! Oh, (noticing him hickuping) you've got the hick-ups. Yeah, the pick-ups. Oh, I love to hear him talk. Some things he says so clearly and other's are a Jackson version of the real version. I included this picture, even though it is 6 months old, because this is where he was sitting in the kitchen when he told me the important news. He was very proud of himself for self-diagnosing this condition. Who knows, this might be the great beginnings of a doctor. He'd definitely has the energy that it takes to be a good doctor. You know-- Go, Go, Go, see more patients, see more patients, have no time to spend the money you make because you've got to see more patients. Plus, I think he's got the caring side down. If I make any noises that sound like distress or pain he ALWAYS asks, "You O.K." And of course, I always say, "Mama's o.k." Luke even bought him a stethoscope at the thrift store, but then again Luke gets everything at the thrift store. Someday, I'll share with you some of our big finds. You won't believe it.
