Jack and Aunt Fru (code name Lexi)

Thought I'd share with you pictures I took of Lexi and Jackson a few weeks ago. What a pair! It's party central around here today seeing as we are setting up for Uncle Charles' SURPRISE 7oth Birthday. Got to figure out how to hide about 15 cars behind my house. And those of you who've been to my house know that I have NO backyard. We've been building a side yard that we are about to sod but no backyard. Five mile creek as about a 300 foot drop down from the back of my house. Now, I have not measured this but this is my best guess. I'm probably completely wrong. Let's just say, you don't want to jump. I'm constantly putting my parking brake on because I just know that one day my car will come out of gear and just roll off the hill. I'll be walk around for like an hour or something wondering where my car went. I know, completely paranoid. O.K. well, I've got to get back to work and get the little short guy that lives with me down for a nap. He's afraid that his cousin Pauley and Nathan will come while he's asleep and he doesn't want to lay down. Should be interesting.

What a FASHION Statement!

On the job site and making a fashion statement in my leopard gardening boots, no makeup, and hair pulled up because down it's a complete MESS! (I sure make my mother proud!) And in the words of my sister, "Your not going out looking like that are you?" My answer, "Yep, Had planned on it!" "What I don't look good enough to be heading to Walmart at 10:30 at night?" My sister on the other hand always looks like she's just stepped out of the pages of Vogue Magazine. My sister really does try to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Shopped Til We Dropped....

So as you can see, we shopped for Wedding Dresses today and guess what!!!! WE FOUND ONE and it is WONDERFUL! Now get this..... guess who went with her to look for this "said" dress. None other than myself, my son, Aunt Een and Uncle Ress, as well as the Bride-to-be Aunt Dee Dee. Now, if that's not a motley crew, I don't know what is. It was more like a party than a proper dress picking and fitting. We had to calm ourselves down more than once and remember we weren't the only ones in the shop. It was just REALLY, REALLY FUN! I think I'm having more fun than when I did all the planning for my wedding. I'm trying really hard to contain my enthusiasm but it's really difficult. I think we might just be partying all summer long. I'm going to need a vacation as soon as this wedding is over. I'm already tired.
Posing by the sign because Mama said, "Stand Here JJ while I get your picture for Aunt Dee Dee!"

My Little Boy (and his Aunt Georgia......and Chubbs, and Maddie, and Gracie, and Boots, and Daddy)

We had to put a halt to cutting the grass in order to get a few photos. You know, PRIORITIES!
Aunt Georgia came for the weekend with Maddie and Chubbs to see Jackson play. We had a great time but Uncle Jack didn't get to come this trip. Jackson was very concerned about Uncle Jack not being there to play with him and prayed for him all weekend. Something like, "Dear Lord, Uncle Jack is fishing and HE'S NOT HERE!" Somebody is missing Uncle Jack. (Side Note: Boots stubbornly refusing to face forward and be in the picture!)

found a picture of the dam

And the wedding plans are moving along smoothly...

found this really neat little chapel (seats 100) and we are really getting EXCITED! Wedding date approximately August 8th (the last I heard) and throwing her a lingerie shower at my house on July 11, Friday night. (And let me just tell you, WE are throwing one more party!) Woo HOO!!!!!

So quaint and picture postcard

Random (but EXTREMELY) Important Stuff

Made these cards for Momma Wednesday night after church and she took a picture of them for me. They were so cute in person. Thought I'd share.
Went down to the "building project" last night and found 1st Floor Walls! They are probably on the second floor by now! Ha!
G-mamma pushing Jackson on the swings. He's always looking for someone to push him. I've got to teach him how to swing by himself. I've tried a few times but I guess it's like riding his tri-cycle. It just something that comes with time.
Helping Mama in the yard. (And boy does he help!) I might be nurturing another Uncle Ress. He loves being out in the yard with his "yard tools" and working in the dirt. I am encouraging this seeing as I need a side kick in the yard.
And finally, look what's growing in my yard. Isn't it beautiful. And notice the green grass in the background. Ahhh....Emerald Zoysia. Isn't it a beaut! Anything that covers up all this dirt that I have everywhere is a good thing.
