Happy 3rd Birthday Jack Jack

Jackson celebrated his 3rd birthday this year with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins at Medieval Times in Atlanta. His birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day and so we jousted, sword fought, and had general revelry with a good ole chicken leg thrown in for good measure. Jackson was in awe (Aunt Ashley got us FRONT ROW SEATS!! - Ashley you ROCK!) of the show and Josephine and Mikayla just had the best time of their lives. They LOVED it. Mikayla was crowned the Queen of Ceremonies and wore her sash proudly. She flurted with the knights all night long. She was quite taken with our Red Knight. They both just waved their flags and smiled all night long. We just had a great time and I highly recommend this for all ages. Enjoy the pictures.

My first yard sale EVER!!

Yep, we had a yard sale this saturday. Actually a multi-family yard sale (7 families to be exact). We just had a blast sitting around and catching up and joking around and we even made some money. We sold a car, sold a lot of clothes and a lot of junk, I mean treasures too. And I would like to personally thank Uncle Ress for buying so much of my stuff. He said I have good junk. So, if you helped and contributed this time thanks so much and if not don't worry - we are doing another in the spring. lots of love.

Jackson's 3rd Birthday Party

Jackson had a great 3rd birthday this past weekend with all of his friends from church. He told me about a month ago that he wanted a Mickey Mouse Cake (his dad had been secretly lobbying for He-Man) and his Aunt Sheran made him a beautiful cake. We played games and opened presents and just had a great day.
Mickey was relocated from the mantle to his new position on the buffet per Jack's request.

The disappearing mouse

As some of you know, Jackson had a Mickey Mouse 3rd Birthday just this past weekend with some of his friends from church and his two cousins, Nathan and Pauley. Well, I started to set up for his party a few days before the "Big Day" and I was going to put Mickey on the mantle as a center piece. Well, I'd put him up there and the next thing I'd know, he'd be missing. I'd find him all over the place. I started to take notice and the minute I'd get him up there and Jack would notice he'd move the ladder over and get him down. He did this like 10 times. I kept telling him it was for his party but he didn't think Mickey needed to go there. So, needless to say mickey got moved to another location. It just cracked me up.

And you guys all think I'm kidding when I say he might be destined to be a Biker Dude! He even has his own sign (see below) of which I'm not sure what it stands for - but my best guess is "I LOVE YOU, MOM!"

This was one of Jackson's Birthday presents that he found EARLY!!!! I got this for him at Kids Market because he's convinced he's a superhero. (Something that I think his dad encourages through the various playing and horsing around they do - although luke always wanted to be a garbage man so his ambitions have moved up in the world)

Well, we had quite a day a few weeks ago. Jack brought his friend Alex from church with him for a day at the zoo. Well, we kind of got side-tracked along the way and hit the Homewood Library, Homewood Toy and Hobby Store, Soho Sweets and Demetri's Barbeque before we ever got near the zoo. Boy, by days end we were all tired. Jack had so much fun bringing Alex along and I think Alex had a great time too. Let's do it again soon.

Well, this year we hit the Trick or Treat Neighborhood of all Trick or Treat Neighborhoods. Cops direct traffic, Yards are Completely decked out in Spooky Decor, No need to go to the door and knock for some candy - They sit in their yards and just pass it out to you from their lawn chairs. Yep, you heard me correctly. And of course, we were right in the middle of the mayhem (granted early because it was Wednesday night) but in the mayhem non-the-less. We had a great time and keeping that many kids moving and out of the way is a feat for sure. Enjoy!
